It seems that Yoshihide Togas hi The creator really considered trying a new type of sleeve. According to a resurfaced interview, Togas hi told the creator of Naruto that he was interested in making a fighting manga with letters. But at that time, he felt that they could not undertake such a project due to the rage that the project had of which INAMI owns.

I’m going to talk about what I wanted to do, a card battle manga! The moment is difficult due to Yu-Gi-Oh by Kabuki Takanashi. But it has been a while since then, so I’m starting to think it’s probably fine. I already did it once with the Greed Island saga, so I took it out of my system, but it was very fun.
The important thing is that Togas hi did not want to continue with the project, because if so, Hunter x Hunter would have been further delayed, even when the creator’s health issue had not been contemplated. For now, he is creating episodes constantly, all in order for users to begin to read the long-awaited continuation of such a popular franchise.
