What does “presented by Xbox Game Pass”?
You’ve certainly noticed that this time there is a difference to many past theme weeks in theme week as with the hero * inner weeks in the past year: We once again have a partner in the form of Microsoft with the Xbox Game Pass. Here I want to explain to you briefly what exactly means – and what not.
What does “presented by Xbox Game Pass”? In the core it says that you find a widget next to our articles, which indicates the cooperation and leads you back to this chic review article and a few other articles from the theme week. In addition, there will be a pair (clearly marked) advertorials.
What does not the sponsoring mean? It does not mean that all articles were bought or somehow affected by Microsoft’s mental Health Banner – or that this theme week only exists because we have a sponsor for it. Advertorials (ie paid items) carry this week, as usual, always the addition [display] in the heading and are clearly marked as advertising. They are also not written by the editorial team of theme week or from freelancers who contribute editorial texts to this theme week.
What about articles involving Microsoft (characters)? If an item is not explicitly marked with [Display], sponsoring has no effect or influence on the article – whether it’s now about the master Chief, Ellie or Link goes. Also on articles in which we have spoken with developers who work for or with Microsoft, neither the publisher nor the cooperation had any influence.
Why do we do that? Theme weeks are usually very complex. They eat a lot of time, both in planning as well as in the implementation and always come “on top” to our normal day-to-day business (news, specials, tests, etc.). Therefore, we are very often braked in what we would like to do and what is realistic for us. In addition, the question is always the question “Is this article worth this for us?” in the room. A sponsoring takes a part of this pressure away.
It allows us to bring topics to the site, which are important to us, but perhaps only a small part of our readers are interested in inside or responded to certain niches. In addition, we have the opportunity to commission even more cool articles for you with our freelancers and to have an excuse himself to write about things, for which maybe no place would have been in everyday life. In short: We can create more content for you and, in the case of the Mental Health Themist Week, may help a few of you better understand the topic better or give the affected under yourself a few playful tools to your hand to your everyday life a bit better Mastering.
Donate money : Sponsoring through Microsoft also allows us to donate ourselves in the name of theme week and thus of you, the community to the German Depression Assistance to help more active that those help you need.
If you want to read more about the work of German Depression Help or claim your offer, you can do this here. On the website you can find a self-test, information where your help gets and advice for relatives.
An important request: Since our articles from the Mental Health Week are more sensitive topics that have partially requested us a lot while writing, we ask you for a friendly and understanding comment culture at this point. Thank you and have fun reading!
