The Veteran Harmonic developer, who is best known for his work in Rock Band franchises and Guitar Hero, has announced that he has now been bought by Epic Games. This is another high-profile purchase that the company behind Fortnite has done in recent years after I previously snatch ligate developer Psionic. And although it remains to be seen what Harmonic will specifically in the future, the study has already announced that it will work with Fortnite in some capacity.
Harmonic today revealed the news of this acquisition on its website where more was opened over the move. During the last 26 years, we have endeavored to redefine the way people experience and interact with music. From the first days of The Ax until hero de la guitar, Band de Rock, BAILEY Central, our virtual reality titles, FUROR, and everything else, we have sucked to redefine what a music game can be. Now, we will work with EPIC to once again challenge expectations while we bring our unique brand of musical game experiences to met averse, and we could not be more excited, the study said in its own blog post.
In general, Harmonic also made it clear that this acquisition of Epic Games will not change much in the study either. Current plans that exist for games such as Rock 4, FUROR, and will not be altered more even if the company is now under a new owner. Instead, the only important alteration is that Harmonic will now begin to create new content for Fortnite that involves music.
«Our team will work with EPIC to create musical trips and gameplay for Fortnite. While we are not ready to share details, the whole team is incredibly excited to start, explained Harmonic on its site. In recent years, Fortnite has begun to put a much greater emphasis on music, specifically in the form of concerts focused on artists such as Ariana Grande and Travis Scott. It remains to be seen if Harmonic will work or not in more content of this type in the future.
